Acalolepta biocellata Breuning, 1935, of Sarawak/Borneo around 1100m ASL
Acalolepta biocellata (Breuning, 1940) is a species of longhorn beetle (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae, Lamiinae, Lamiini). It is currently placed in Acalolepta and was originally described as Dihammus biocellatus Breuning, 1940 from Sumatra. The male holotype bears the locality “Corinchi Lake, Sumatra”. Verified records are from Sumatra. The specific epithet biocellata derives from Latin bi- (“two”) and ocellus/ocellatus (“little eye; eyespot”), i.e., “two-ocellate.”
